Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah announces that the ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan’ rally in Belagavi will see more than two lakh participants. Initially scheduled for December 2024, the rally was postponed due to the demise of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Belagavi to Host Landmark Rally with Record Turnout

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has confirmed that over two lakh people are expected to participate in the Congress party’s ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan’ rally, set to take place in Belagavi on January 21, 2025. Originally planned for December 27, 2024, the rally was rescheduled after the sudden demise of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The rally is designed to honor the values of equality, justice, and the preservation of India’s constitutional framework, celebrating the legacies of Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, and the Constitution.

A Rally to Celebrate Gandhian and Ambedkarite Ideals

Speaking ahead of the rally, CM Siddaramaiah emphasized the Congress party’s commitment to upholding the principles of social justice and equality laid out by Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He stated, “The rally will reaffirm our belief in the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Ambedkar, as well as the constitutional values that unite our nation.”

The slogan ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan’ is a call to action to protect the Constitution and continue advocating for social justice and equality for all sections of society.

Massive Mobilization for the Event

The Congress party has made extensive logistical preparations to ensure that the rally is successful. With more than two lakh participants expected, transportation arrangements have been coordinated to bring supporters from across Karnataka. Security measures are also being ramped up to manage the large crowd and ensure the safety of all attendees.

Belagavi, known for its political importance, will serve as the perfect location to deliver the Congress’s message of unity and social justice.

Political Significance of the Rally

The rally is also viewed as an important political maneuver for the Congress party in Karnataka. By focusing on Gandhian and Ambedkarite ideals, the party hopes to strengthen its connection with marginalized communities and other disadvantaged groups.

Belagavi, which has witnessed significant political activity in the past, is strategically chosen as the venue to make a significant impact.

Paying Tribute to Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh

The rally will also serve as a tribute to the late Manmohan Singh, whose death in December 2024 prompted the rescheduling of the event. CM Siddaramaiah expressed his admiration for Singh’s leadership, saying, “This rally will not only celebrate the Constitution but also honor the legacy of Dr. Singh, who played a pivotal role in India’s development.”

A Call for Constitutional Unity

The rally’s primary message will center around the preservation of the Constitution and social unity amidst a politically charged environment. With divisiveness growing in various parts of India, the Congress party is seeking to remind citizens of the unifying values of the Constitution, social justice, and equality.

This event will also serve as a platform to emphasize the importance of democratic principles and the rule of law in ensuring that every citizen enjoys equal rights.

The ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan’ rally is poised to be a defining moment for the Congress party in Karnataka. With more than two lakh participants expected, the rally will solidify the party’s message of unity, equality, and social justice.
