Justice Sanjaya Kumar Mishra, a judge of the Uttarakhand High Court, has been appointed as the Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court. His parent high court is the Orissa High Court. The appointment was announced by Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju on Twitter. Justice Mishra’s new role comes after he had served as a judge in the Uttarakhand High Court. The announcement has been welcomed by the legal fraternity, and many have extended their best wishes to him. As Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court, Justice Mishra will be responsible for the administration of justice in the state of Jharkhand.
